LeaveStudio: Planning-First Travel Platform with a Voice Agent
A consulting engagement (TechBrens Consulting) building LeaveStudio — a planning-first travel platform that flips the usual flow: instead of browsing endless listings, users are matched to trips by preference, availability, and budget, with options aggregated across providers into a single end-to-end booking experience.
The Idea
Most travel booking is search-first and overwhelming. LeaveStudio is planning-first: it captures what you actually want, then assembles trip options for you — complete with insurance, e-SIM, and shopping add-ons — into one cohesive booking flow.
Real-Time Voice Agent
The standout piece is a real-time voice agent built with Gemini + Pipecat that captures travel preferences conversationally. Rather than filling out forms, users talk through what they're looking for, and the agent turns that into structured inputs that feed directly into the trip-matching workflow.
Engineering & Ownership
Product: Drove product planning, feature design, API integrations, and data modeling.
Stack: Built responsive web features in Next.js/TypeScript backed by Node.js/Express REST APIs and MongoDB.
Leadership: Elevated to Chief of Engineering within the engagement — owning architecture decisions, deployment, testing, debugging, and iterative releases.
